We Apply
the Same Recipe for Success as we do for our Award Winning Soups!
(but this is one secret we want to share)
When
Soup Etc! opened our first store in 2001, our mission was simple,
and has provided the four cornerstones of our business ever since:
value. quality. choice. health. By applying these principles to
everything we do, success is the easy part!
Soup
Etc!...A Winning Concept
Soup
Etc!, much like the Starbuck’s story, really DID set out
to reinvent the wheel. We approached a food favorite and staple
and became undisputable experts, taking the process of making
a good soup to gourmet level form and building a retail concept
around it. Our 50 proprietary soups, stews, chili and chowders
as well as our unique approach to gourmet sandwiches and salads
capitalizes on the fastest growing trend in the food market…one
defined by health and lifestyle conscious consumers.
Our
Products
Our
soup, stew, chili and chowder products range from traditional
to unique representing a full selection to suit any need on any
given day. Whether our customer is seeking a low fat, low carb,
vegetarian or low cal choice, odds are that we can provide exactly
what they are looking for from the eight daily selection at each
stores’ Soup Table. These choices can be complemented with
fresh unique sandwiches or salads to round out the meal. All soups
are cooked by Soup Etc! and shipped fresh with no added preservatives.

The
Success Recipe
Our
approach is to ensure that our Franchisees have the time to concentrate
on the two most important factors in successful retailing, staff
training/ management and consistent astonishing customer service.
-
Soup
Etc! does not venture beyond its expertise in terms of new product
introductions. All new food products developed always fit within
our existing operating procedures and are prepared with existing
store level equipment. We pride ourselves on our ability to
“reinvent” the wheel consistently in creative, wonderful
and gourmet level ways.
-
We
provide a solid training program and on-going support to ensure
our franchisees are always on the right track. We take out the
guesswork.
-
All
products intended for sale at retail level have been conceived
to require very little in terms of specific skills or undue
impact on the store’s labour costs. In other words, our
manufacturing facilities provide all individual components for
any dish, pre-measured and designed for simple assembly or warming
at store level. We believe our Franchisees time is better spent
getting to know their customer and excelling at all facets of
customer service.
-
We
sell Soup Etc! stores as turnkey packages, so franchisee involvement
is minimal in the building phase. We prefer to have you setting
your sales and marketing goals during this time.
-
We
enjoy and solicit input from our franchisees. We believe the
only way to continually excel is to consult those who set the
mark for us in public. In other words, our best retail experts
are really our own retailers.
